Folks have been telling me they’ve noticed I’ve gotten “a lot more political” on social media this year.

Of course I have.

The circumstances have gotten nightmarishly worse, and the consequences of inaction and staying silent infinitely more obvious.

Everyone needs to get “a lot more political.”

Timely report as we’re discussing the impact of motor vehicles on children’s play.

“A child is killed every day on our roads, yet cars are being made so large that children are invisible from the driver’s seat. How is that acceptable?”

On my way into work this morning I saw this, on a rare “home zone” in Bristol, where cars do not have priority.

Imagine the time and energy this must have taken! Imagine the sense of belonging, of “my space, my street, my community”. Imagine if all children had this. @playingout.bsky.social

Would be so cool if a spread like this was printed on paper bags
I am really happy about grocery stores returning to paper bags. Why? Because of this book, Jim Bottomley's Paper Projects For Kids Of All Ages. All the crafts in it assume access to a huge supply of brown paper grocery bags.

Research and institutional funding shouldn’t come with political strings attached.
