the only good thing about genAI is that it got me to really love seeing bad art, because I know a person put in time and effort, made themselves vulnerable by showing it to others, and is trying to improve. I value that more than anything now

Blender is up there with Wikipedia as one of very few truly good things on the internet at this point. Please support them while you can, blender has done so much for artists!
It's funny how whenever I see people complain about bsky not getting as many interactions as X, they NEVER use hashtags, alt text or any other alternative to the algo.
I know socmed fucked those concepts over, but COME ON, you're intentionally yelling in the void and complaining no one is answering.

Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.
