I think a lot of what is driving the corporate acceptance of slop is that there's a lot of product managers and producers who don't have a creative bone in their bodies, but this process allows them to role play like they are creatives.

that cartoon trope where the foolish character runs off the edge of a cliff, and is self aware enough of the trope that if they just don't look down, maybe they won't actually fall.

and there is no way they can admit to their shareholders that they got dupped. There is no golden parachute for failures that can't be written off; This shit is *tanking* companies when the return doesn't pay out.

Nobody wants to admit it's a bubble because they're all *in* the bubble.
