Nioh 3 looks fantastic. Honestly didn’t realise they were adding so much Ninja Gaiden traversal and combat into this one. Plus I can the Sekiro and Elden Ring influences.

I think a lot about the Warhammer: Age of Reckoning mmo for a guy who only played it for like two months. Chaos Marauder btw.

I can’t be the only person who thinks the high importance flag is never used for anything of actual high importance. It’s just obnoxious.

I’m enjoying Ghost of Yotei, and i understand it’s a sequel, she’s not a samurai, but it does seem to just give you everything from the jump. Ghost mode, ninja attacks with no explanation of anything. I’m guessing this is the standard BoTW influence. Also doesn’t feel much like a ninja game so far.

I’m really enjoying Stasis. A game that somehow slipped me by when it released. Atmosphere and vibe is right up there. Apparently I just love horror media set in space ships. Thank you Alien and Event Horizon for helping foster this genre that still proves fruitful for me.

Hillarious how banning “junk food” advertisement pre watershed is real but we continue to advertise sports betting and online fruit machine gambling apps at every opportunity.

bad news dude, they're on the Fighter Select screen selecting and deselecting you over and over to make fun of your voice line. they're saying the little pose you do when selected is wack. they're rotating you

I think corporate/business/tech uniforms being polo shirts are terrible and people should just opt for gildan t shirts with a logo screen printed on them. I do not know why but I’ve always hated how polo shirts look and fit.

@andihamilton.com is it worth me going back and trying the original Evil Within? I finished and loved the second one. Figured it might be worth going back to the original.

Perhaps I’m just feeling nostalgic for Y2K design aesthetic *vibes* but that trance OST that accompanies Zone of the Enders is endless bangers. Feel like we haven’t had any big developments in electronic music and video games since retrowave first popped up via Hotline Miami. youtu.be/23MD3acnz4A

Is Stasis any good? Been eying it up for a while now and the brief stuff I’ve seen about it makes it seem like narrative, aesthetics and setting wise it’s right up my street.

Not a movie but I think The Expanse would work very well as an anime. I know sci-fi doesn’t sell anywhere near like what it used to in the medium, and any that do get popular are often very surface-level. But it would work.
we often talk about “what anime would you adapt into a movie” but here is a reverse: what movies would you adapt into an anime?

I think people shouldn’t write films and tv for people who are on their phones at the same time. If they can’t pay attention - absolutely get to fuck. That’s on them and their corroded dopamine receptors. I’m tired of having every medium be filed down to the absolute midwit level.

ust bought a ticket to this insane line-up of a show. I’m certain it contains at least half of mine and @andihamilton.com ‘s gym playlist for the last year.

My opinion of new Lego stuff is that it’s never a toy I enjoyed much as a child. It was just “fine”. Always preferred action figures and making up stories with them.

Why is there still more insane isekai stuff coming out every season. Surely there isn’t a market for this stuff anymore? Is this what has replaced the great deluge of slice of life stuff from the midn00s?

Im on the last mission of the original Dishonored and its introduced a mechanic of just spawning in more guys after you’ve meticulously spent 20 minutes working your way through taking out the current guys. No other point in the game has done this. Frustrating shite.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners had a fantastic ending.

Gurren Lagann had an incredible ending.

Attack on Titan has a great ending, despite the wider fandom saying otherwise.
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

What's the *best* ending to a show you've ever seen? Quote/reply etc
January 7, 2026 at 12:20 PM
I’m late to the Stranger Things ending but it was just… fine. I mean it’s been downhill since the first season anyway. I’ve seen far worse trite people herald as good in recent years. It went on too long tbh, but that’s what happens when something makes infinite money I guess.

I agree with this, though there are always exceptions to the rule (the Sonic movie team hiring Tyson Hesse and his crew to bring that original film back on track after the disastrous original trailer).
Don’t do focus groups. Don’t include “superfans” in preproduction. Don’t ask audiences what they want ffs. Audiences don’t know what they want. If they did we wouldn’t need art
Were 90s kids clamoring for a Batman cartoon with 1930s Art Deco aesthetics? Is that what the market demanded? Or did some really smart creative people have a vision and make a genre-defining hit that sustained 20 years of TV shows? If you want success look for vision, not just metrics.
