So...this is actually the second book I have illustrated before it was written. Doug and I had an outline from @tomsnig.bsky.social and @jsuretteacheson.bsky.social and it was brilliant and cool and so very evocative, so we (mostly Doug) picked the illustration beats, one from each outline section.
