Funcom is closing our Stockholm studio, The Outsiders. This means I will be out of a job soon, as well as all my wonderful colleagues.

Today the British union IWGB said it has filed formal legal claims against Rockstar Games for firing 30+ employees two weeks ago, as Bloomberg first reported. Rockstar said the employees were leaking information. The IWGB calls it union-busting. More to come as the legal process plays out...

Just started playing #ArcRaiders and got involved helping a player with a PvE encounter. In the aftermath they used emoted to not shoot, I responded with the same and got shot it the face 😂 This is an extraction shooter alright

It is not misconduct to unionize, and I hope that Rockstar and Take-Two face serious legal challenges for what seems to be a very clear-cut case of union-busting.
BREAKING: Yesterday Grand Theft Auto VI maker Rockstar Games fired dozens of people, all of whom were involved in union efforts. A British union calls it "blatant and ruthless" union-busting. Take-Two Interactive says it was due to misconduct.

I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.
