“But Toad,” said Frog, “I AM happy. I am very happy. This morning when I woke up, I felt good because the sun was shining. I felt good because I was a frog. And I felt good because I have you for a friend. I wanted to be alone. I wanted to think about how fine everything is.”

In order to make your art and put it out there you have to brave the people who just aren’t going to get it and are going to project some really fucked up ideas onto you, the creator. This is the Art Tax
One thing you will never think after reading a great book or listening to a great album or seeing a great piece of art is, “I’m really glad this person remained cautious while they were making this and guarded against being perceived as weird.”

I WILL admit to emotions when I found out they are indeed showing REBUILDING (2025) here. The Josh O'Connor Autumn theatrical viewing cycle will be complete for me. It's been an era.

I miss theater.
Eleven years ago, I wrote to Tom Stoppard to ask about this coup de théâtre from 1949. It took me down an unexpected rabbit hole - in memory of Stoppard, here's what I found.

There is no way you can guess how the thread that ends in this instant classic begins.

no spoiler alert? am I expected to have seen 27 films by now? do you know how long it takes to watch a film? hours.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

will any theater in Tampa dare to show the 97% RT-scored film REBUILDING so I can theatrically see the third film in the Josh O'Connor Autumn Cycle? Must I wait for WAKE UP DEAD MAN?

One of the most important provisions of the ACA was eliminating pre-existing conditions exclusions from insurance plans.

Folks need to be reminded that if the ACA goes away, so does that provision.
