ChatGPT’s signature writing style is everywhere now, and I hate it. It reminds me of when we tried mixing all the beverages at the soda fountain in middle school. We didn’t actually create the perfect drink, we just made a cloying monstrosity that lost everything good about its constituent parts.

I don't understand how anyone can watch how blatantly Grok is manipulated to answer the way ownership desires it to and then act like the other LLM chatbots couldn't possibly be similarly but less obviously compromised to produce responses in whatever way corporate interests and priorities dictate.

Glad I realized I'd kill my partially run hour-long script before I killed the vpn and my cluster. That would've sucked
Teams search was actually a little helpful. It pulled up the one time a senior dev asked about corporate breaking discord updates... but! the important part, he asked about this, inside the firewall. I can't believe I hadn't thought to do sans vpn. Though, I think this is how I'd managed before

Discord refuses to update, on my work computer. There seems to be a strong correlation with my falling out of contact with folks.
Note: as far as possible causations go, this is much more ideal than months of emotional fallout from speaking up for myself
