I do not respect separators for thousands that aren't just a space.
It was trained out of me in school as being too easy to misread an individual number.
Yes I have it as a setting in Excel, too.
I went to school for accounting/bookkeeping... you know, a thing that deals with large numbers often.

I get why it happens but goddamn do I wish anything could hit as hard on the timeline as something that sucks that everyone hates written by or about the worst person you know. I wish something good or interesting was able to get anywhere near the traction some shit that sucks does.

For three weeks the guys wouldn't take our broken recycling bin.
We put it out empty. We put it out half full. We put it inside the other bin. Last week, as the guys were pulling away and left it there again, I stomped the stupid thing to pieces and threw it in the second blue bin.

I have an alert on my phone that goes off every 4hrs and it really helps with the passage of time. If it goes off and I am startled that I have been idle in between, I get up and start working on something.
It's probably going off soon, but I'm sweeping the floors and my laundry is on the dryer.
