Leaders of a Catholic church in Massachusetts kept a Nativity display with an anti-ICE message in place on Monday, defying an order from the Catholic Archdiocese of Boston to remove it. The display shows Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus missing, replaced by a sign reading “ICE WAS HERE.” trib.al/adPW46y

The aim is to make sure as many kids as possible, in homeless accommodation and international protection centres across Ireland, get a toy this Christmas.

Out with Bohemians this morning as part of their 8th annual toy drive.

Just saw a rum cove in my local Oxfam bookshop scanning the barcodes of every single book, checking them on an online database. Anything valuable, he extracted into 3 massive bags, with plenty more empty bags on standby.
It may not be illegal; but I hope he gets visited by 3 ghosts…

It's time once again for my annual #treebybike post. This is the 12/19/42 cover of @newyorker.com, so one full year after the attack on Pearl Harbor. This would be the first real Christmas alone, or without a family member, for millions in the US. Gas and tire rationing had begun earlier that year.🗃️

Saw some disturbing stuff about the way AI uses your pictures, especially pictures of your kids. I don't like companies using AI to data scrape my kid's pics posted to social media platforms (META), to create a dataset of them. 1/

www.thejournal.ie/tuam-mother-... The Mother and Baby Home where I came from is now covered in a housing estate. I often wonder how many infants are buried under those nice semi Ds. They keep trying to cover the grounds of Bessborough in Cork with housing. But we don't know what's down there.

Quite breathtaking story - military grade drones at Dublin airport which flew on the path Zelensky's plane took. The drones reached the flight path of his plane exactly the time it should have been there, but just missed it because Zelensky arrived ahead of schedule:
Four unidentified military-style drones breached no-fly zone to target Zelenskyy's arrival in Dublin
Gardaí are investigating whether the drones took off from land in Dublin or from an undetected ship.
