Free public busing is a policy. So is taxing the wealthiest incomes an additional 2% to fund child care, subsidized groceries, etc. There are rural populations that would benefit from progressive policies. Remember, it was FDR that gave us “socialist” policies like social security, Medicare, etc.

The sentiment sounds nice but it's not quite true. Zohran won because he went up against two candidates that had a HUGE amount of baggage weighing them down. If Eric Adams doesn't sell out to Trump and turns off his Black and Hispanic base of outer boro voters he ends up winning reelection.

Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.
