I AGREE & apologize to any friends of color who I minimized racism to. I just love all people and growing up I thought everyone else did, too. I was in 4th grade when desegregation happened in my town. We were kids and I loved all my friends, but recognize white privilege now for sure. Forgive me🙏

I’m a 74yo liberal white woman, married 50yrs to same man. I was a stay at home mom for 12yrs, worked part time & went full time when oldest was in high school. I worked until I was 67 & am now enjoying retirement. Ms Kirk should keep her mouth shut if this is all she has to offer.

I am reading this excellent book but it is heartbreaking because the mindset post Civil War is the same as it is now. Liberals ended up conceding to the Confederates demands in the name of 'reconciliation.' Devastation for Black people. All gains Black people have made, they made themselves.
