Absent a crucial but elusive consensus among the seven Colorado River states, federal authorities are forging ahead with their own ideas on how to divvy up painful water cuts as climate change diminishes flows in the critical river.

Very embarrassed American here...most of us hate this. On behalf of the US I will spend the rest of my life apologizing for this. What a horrible nightmare we are forcing on the world. I don’t know anyone who wants this.

ICE is out of control. They are the source of the violence and can never be its remedy. In the short term, the only answer is for them to cease operations in Minnesota and leave. Immediately.

In the slightly longer term, ICE must be dismantled and abolished. They cannot be reformed.

Pritzker: The Insurrection Act is designed for circumstances where your rights can’t be protected by local authorities

This is exactly the opposite.

Your civil rights are being infringed upon by CBP and ICE, and then they want to call in troops claiming that they’re protecting CBP and ICE.

Or you can just call them "ICE"

ICE keeps saying the people protesting it are being paid without any evidence, but we have receipts showing that the people *defending* ICE are absolutely being paid.

And yet we only hear lies about the former on cable news.

Just so people outside of MN know - a lot of the US citizens getting “arrested” by ICE never get processed at Whipple. They are roughed up during the arrest and then often dropped off miles from where they were picked up. It means we don’t know the true scale of what ICE is doing based on ICE stats

Today, it’s not your vote that determines whether the government brutalizes you or sends officers to your door. It’s your neighbors’ vote.

If you’re ok with this happening to Minnesotans, don’t get comfortable. You won’t be exempt for long.

In the end, a lawless administration comes for everyone.

Any one of us could be detained for hours by ICE despite being a U.S. citizen.

Any one of us could be in the next apartment building that ICE raids in the middle of the night.

Any one of us could be the next to be brutalized by ICE for speaking out.

Authoritarianism hurts all of us.
