As an Indigenous person, watching Trump make plans to invade an Indigenous territory is fucking terrifying. Everyone is making this about Denmark, but it will be Inuit facing this new wave of violent colonization.

We are quite literally in the ‘carry your papers’ (Tribal card/CDIB) stage of fascism.

No human is illegal on stolen land!
Looks like ICE is now cracking down on … Native Americans.

This letter was just posted by the chairman of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in North/South Dakota:

“Our Nation is a sovereign government and our members are not immigrants. We are not subject to immigration enforcement on our own lands.”

Yknow I’d like to say that the U.S. isn’t supposed to go around invading countries (and it’s not), but I’m a citizen of a Native Nation of THIS land, and this country is BORN of invasion. This is standard practice for this country, yall.

And yes, I’m still mad as hell about Venezuela.

the right loves #adoption for all the reasons you would guess: an “alternative” to abortion; an alternative to social support for people in crisis; a general disregard for human rights; MONEY; profit-seeking from gross social & material inequality.

the problem is that liberals love adoption too.
Look, we know this man has a deep and abiding interest in trafficking children.
Trump: "Christians and more, think of this, more than twice as likely foster care they'll adopt the general population. They adopt to it so easily. When they get out, they adopt to it like it's become second nature. It's amazing."

why does “give this child a loving and safe home” require “erase and rewrite this child’s entire identity”?
