I stopped buying physical books and got a e-reader after I ran out of shelf space. During the first wave of gadgets, eons ago.
But I will still randomly buy a physical book if:
1) I know the author personally,
2) it's one of my favourites
3) it's a signed copy, and
4) it's academically important
But I will still randomly buy a physical book if:

One of my besties' younger child is studying Electrical and Chemical Engineering. He's done in a few weeks. When I tell you that me and his momma have signed him up to get every certification that's out there... he's gonna be prepared for anything, as much a Brown boy in thr engineering boy can be.

The self-reflection option is missing in these morons.
I can't imagine dropping out of college after my first year - probably after a year of mostly required core courses - and sharing "Windows" as my one major qualification, and expecting to get a job in the technology field.

This NYT story failed the reader by not digging deeper. One subject dropped out of college after one year (five years ago) and lists "Windows" as his skillset. Story should be: young conservatives who blame immigrants for their personal failures and whose lives won't be improved w/ fewer immigrants
