As I recall, it used to be in the Mount Royal Tavern. Is it still there?

Just my 2cents but having gone to a SEC school with a cross state rival (FSU v UF) it’s my experience students don’t take these rivalries as seriously as the sports media would have you believe. I saw more cooperation between the 2 schools than competition.
Kind of Ironic that they are The Cavaliers, no?
A lot of these types prefer the message of the wrathful, violent god of the Old Testament and would drop the New Testament in a heart beat, but they are afraid people might think they are Jewish. It's why the always want the Ten Commandments on public land but never the Beatitudes.
I like to member it as Hayward Shepherd day.
I don't disagree, but it’s worth remembering the first person killed at Harpers ferry was Hayward shepherd a free black baggage handler for the B&O railroad.
You May be thinking of Edmund Kirby- Smith.
My understanding of American Evangelical theology (which admittedly is tenuous) is that good works do not get you into heaven. Only faith in Jesus.
Makes quite a match with the Magic Gardens in Philly.
I blame the government shut down.

I am a 60 year old Matthew who has blazed the trail for Gen X and I haven often noticed a substantial gap between the dearth of Matthews older than me and the mass of Matthews younger than me. The peak of Matthew as a name was the mid-90s, so maybe more millennial?
Either way the caption could read, "We may have to kill each other for food and library access and there may be 100 of us for every open FT job, but at least our advisors didn't have to grade their own papers or teach their own survey courses."

But the title would still be" "US Academia be like"
That looks more like either:
1) Adjuncts fighting over the last unassigned 3 credit course with the semester starting next week.
or
2) Grad students and post docs fighting over the last tenure track job in the US.
We should all chip in for a participation trophy.
I am pretty sure the Nobel Peace Prize committee is aware of world politics enough to see through this.

Just for fun, they should award him a participation trophy Nobel.
This is my reaction as well. No one is happier that this officer is leaving than Trump and Miller. They are no doubt combing Young Republican chat rooms for their replacement.

She gets all the flowers. I mean ALL of them. If we see her, we immediately have to give her flowers.
