THE GREAT AUSTRALIAN GAS HEIST
What does it say about the calibre…and motivation…of Australian politicians.
IF a truly independent and functional #NACC actually existed, surely an inquiry into this nation’s gas ‘deals’ would be a priority!
#auspol
The first time that my mind was boggled in my study of #Auspol I saw this live on the ABC. An economist of his standing whose mind was boggled was hard to ignore. And he's telling us we made stupid deals that rip off every Australian. This is why we can't have nice things.

Why do so many feel like they've fallen behind?

It's not because of immigrants, trans people, DEI, the “deep state,” or any other bogeyman trotted out by the GOP.

It's because big corporations and billionaires have rigged markets and siphoned off most of the economy's gains.

What does Labor actually stand for in the Albanese era?
Sean Kelly’s Quarterly Essay The Good Fight asks a harder question than whether Labor is governing competently – it asks whether it still knows what it believes, and whether belief is translating into action.

Budgets are about priorities. The idea is to tax things you want less of & subsidise things you want more of

In Australia we spend $14 billion per year on fossil fuel subsidies & we are cutting science jobs at CSIRO…

As i said, budgets are about priorities #climate

If the Government's top priority is productivity, slashing the CSIRO budget does not make sense
Research and development is one of the major drivers of productivity and the CSIRO has a long track record of making productivity enhancing breakthroughs.

Yeah, I've asked these questions and had little luck with any answers, whilst they are all stuck on Musk's X. I don't know why our taxes are paying for such.
