I should add, for the sake of completeness, that it's not a ginnel because it's too wide. A ginnel is more of a passageway, wide enough only for foot traffic.
And we might be only a very small distance apart. Lancashire and the West Riding share a (sometimes contentious) boundary, after all.
Aah, I couldn't recall where 'snicket' came from. I was thinking midlands maybe.

It's strange, because a shrub-enclosed pathway just wouldn't have that kind of term applied to it on this side of the Pennines (or the bit I'm familiar with, anyway). It would just be a path.
The discussion is moot, because the painting depicts a backs, not a ginnel (and definitely not a snicket, whatever southern nonsense that is). 😉

That's right. That's how constitutional monarchies usually, and broadly, work. The point I was making is that a monarchy is not automatically a bad thing and that some of the most progressive democracies in the world are monarchies. On the whole, IMHO having a king isn't as bad as a loony president.
Denmark is also a Constitutional Monarchy and has a King, Frederik the Tenth.
Didn't watch the whole game but Robbo looked a bit off his best.
Somewhat bizarrely that one was at RSPB Bempton Cliffs on the Yorkshire coast, where I completely failed to get any decent shots of puffins earlier this year. 😒
Yes, the body feathers are sort of reddish-brown and the one in your photo has a dark head like this. 😉

Anyhow, I'm throwing open a general offer of being here to help if you are wanting to make the switch and need a bit of help and/or advice. I am *not* an expert, just a reasonably experienced user. I am also an amateur and this is categorically NOT any kind of commercial deal, just a friendly offer.
I haven't used Windows for years, having been on Linux instead. Seems to me that other people might be thinking they want to leave Microsoft, what with Win 10 support ending, the unreasonable hardware requirements of Win 11 and privacy concerns around Recall etc.

Judging by the ones I have, the fit does vary from style to style, but the ridiculous convenience of them means I rarely wear anything else. There's a Skechers outlet shop not far from me that I visit occasionally coz I like to try them on before parting with my money.
Welcome to the dark side. I have currently 5 pairs in various styles. Best thing since the proverbial.
He shut down a then-rampant Ryan Giggs in that game. Rob Jones was such a good player with a career ruined by injury.

Realistically, with the way things are right now, I'd be happy with 8, although I fear that might be on the optimistic side.
The Beatles statues by the Pier Head are always popular.

Slightly larger-than-life statues of The Beatles near the Pier Head in Liverpool with a small crowd of people taking photographs.
While I was in Liverpool yesterday I was watching the gulls around the Pier Head / Albert Dock area feeding on mussels from the dock walls.

Salangselva, Troms county, Norway. The river runs left to right. The water is very clear and the rocky river bed is clearly visible through the water. Across the river is a densely wooded hillside.
