This is a picture of the gasses of the Milkey Way arm with some big beach rocks as foreground.

I’m super stoked for this because it’s the best one I’ve ever taken and I’ve been trying this for years (altho only able on certain vacations when it’s dark enough). Not only is it my best, but I left the Canon DSLR at home and used an iPhone 14 for this (still shooting Raw tho)

The night sky on Greek islands was so profoundly dark. I can’t wait to get to Africa now (hopefully soon). My previous profound was going to the Grand Tetons in WY after living in LA for 20 years. The jump in darkness from WY to Greece may have been larger than the jump from LA to WY. It was DARK!

Also, some of my shots were on Crete shooting south the night the IDF attacked Greta and the Floatilla. We didn’t hear about it until days later but it was only 10mi away so I’m checking my shots for drones. Sketchy.
