Yesterday was a heavy snow day, so I finally got the chance to read The Last Halloween. I really enjoyed this story. I thought the changes in art would be a bit jarring, but each artist worked well with the stories in each issue. #batman #thelonghalloween #dccomics

Justice League of America issues 210-212 were intended to be a a single store published in the treasury format, but it was held back. The panel layout and the plot definitely fit the treasury format, but it lacked that extra something to be truly epic. Maybe a notable villain. #jla #dccomics

Cheetah and Cheshire 6 by @gregrucka.com and @nicolascottart.bsky.social was an absolutely fun read with a satisfying conclusion. Now I have to either read all six issues in one sitting or wait for the collected edition. Hmm…

I first read this 3-part #JLA/#JSA crossover in a DC Special digest I got at a used book store years ago. It’s one of my favorite Justice League stories. And now, I got the last issue of the 3-issue story arc. #Crisis #jlajsacrossover

Despite the Commanders having a near-complete collapse this season and the Panthers losing its first playoff game in ten years, I feel much better today.

The Eagles lost.

Got this as a late Christmas gift to myself. This issue now completes a run of the Batman title from issue 200 to current, over 700 issues.

Today is the birthday of Jerry Robinson (Jan 1, 1922-Dec 11, 2007). An influential artist, most known as co-creator of the Joker and Robin, and for his work on Batman during the Golden Age. He was also a political cartoonist and an early advocate for creators' rights.

One of the all-time favorite Christmas songs. Any cover of this will be deemed wholly inferior to the greatness of the original and of George Michael by me.

I bought the hardcover of Batman and Robin: Year One by @markwaid.bsky.social and @chrissamnee.bsky.social. I had to double dip for this story. Lots of action, drama, and history permeate this story with great pacing and amazing artwork. Loved this story and glad to have this for the bookshelf.

Politicians from both parties have been propping up a broken healthcare system for far too long. The fact is that a single-payer “Medicare for All” type system is extremely popular. Even about half of self-identified Republicans would support it.

What are we waiting for?

Since it started earlier in the year, I have enjoyed the current Supergirl series by @mooncalfe1.bsky.social. The stories have a lot of heart and quirks that have made all seven issues published so far quite enjoyable. Hope #DCComics is #AllIn on this series. Readers need more books like Supergirl.

I'm sad to share that Jellybean Johnson, founding member and drummer of The Time, has passed away. He was an innovator of the Minneapolis Sound, appeared in 'Purple Rain,' and produced Janet Jackson's "Black Cat." He died suddenly Friday night at 69.

It’s hard to believe but there was a cartoon about an immigrant mouse and it was seen as totally fine and not controversial and not woke because it was an aspirational and nice thing about America that people could come here and find a better life

I’d say this is one of the best comics to read on Halloween. Batman, the Reaper, the Rutland Halloween parade, and a party with a bunch of people dressed as DC and Marvel characters. #halloweenreads #DCClassics #Batman
