Arresting reporters for doing reporting is one of the universal steps that authoritarian regimes take to consolidate power.
The question now is if the rest of the media reacts w outrage and keeps the spotlight on this abuse of power or if they minimize it to avoid becoming the regime's next target.

So I see Senate Democrats got the DHS Funding out of the way, a CR for two weeks so they can focus all negotiations on ICE funding, and the malcontents are upset. Well, any day they're not upset, it means they've all be taken out. Making ICE the focus and funding the rest of govt. is a win for me.
