Trump is hurting America when he disinvests in science. Those investments have led to a stronger economy and American technological dominance. Trump is risking our nation through his disinvestment and privatization of NASA and our national labs. (3/3)

JPL has inspired generations by landing rovers on Mars, advancing our understanding of climate change, and driven technologies we rely on every day, like GPS and medical imaging. (2/3)

Now we have to stay focused. The ceasefire must hold. Humanitarian aid must keep flowing into Gaza. And we need a real plan to rebuild both the infrastructure and governance of Gaza so that Palestinians and Israelis can share a future rooted in peace and stability.

After two long years, every living hostage is finally free and back where they belong — with their loved ones. I can’t begin to imagine the pain and suffering they’ve endured.

Today, we honor and celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day and the countless contributions of Indigenous communities in Los Angeles and across our nation.

Did you know that my district has one of the most significant collections of Indigenous art right here in the Autry Museum?

Trump has no plans to actually lower grocery prices. It’s just been one horrible policy decision after another, resulting in families going hungry and overstretched local food banks.
Grocery prices rise at the fastest pace since 2022 as Trump tariffs bite
On the campaign trail, Trump promised lower grocery prices.

Day 9 of the Republican Shutdown, and Speaker Johnson just canceled next week's votes.

While they’re on vacation, millions of Americans are left wondering if they’ll be able to afford healthcare. I’m heading to D.C. next week to work. House Republicans should too.

Another town hall in the books! Thanks to East Valley Indivisibles for hosting. It was great answering questions directly from LA families with Rep. Brad Sherman.

This is exactly what democracy looks and sounds like.

I refuse to rubber stamp this administration’s cruelty.

I joined patients & frontline healthcare workers to condemn the Republican attempt to drain trillions of dollars from our healthcare system, throw millions of American citizens off Medicare, & raise your insurance rates to give tax breaks to millionaires.

My office is now accepting applications for military academy nominations for the class of 2030!

All required materials for your application must be submitted by Friday, October 31 for consideration. (1/2)
Military Academy Nominations
The honor of attending a service academy comes with the obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.

Millions of Americans will see their healthcare premiums spike 114% because Republicans are refusing to negotiate. I refuse to yield an inch to their cruel agenda.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival and Chuseok! To all those that celebrate, may this season bring joy and harmony to you and your loved ones.

This is a lie. Tell that to my constituents who would pay $6000 more a year if I rubber-stamped your agenda.

Mike Johnson: "Let me look right into the camera and tell you very clearly: Republicans are the ones concerned about healthcare. Republicans are the party working around the clock everyday to fix healthcare. This is not talking points for us: we've done it."

Hospitals like CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center are sounding the alarm that they could shut down or be forced to drastically reduce services to patients in need because of the Republican healthcare cuts.

What they're saying should shock you. Take a listen ⬇️

If I voted for what Trump wanted, I’d be rubber-stamping an agenda that spikes healthcare costs and shuts down hospitals. I’m standing with patients and frontline workers to fight back and protect affordable care.

My constituent would pay $6,000 more a year for healthcare under Trump’s budget plan.

I wasn’t elected to rubber-stamp the Rep’s cruel bill — it’s my job to stop it.

With Yom Kippur beginning at sundown today, I'm wishing all observing an easy and meaningful fast.

Instead of negotiating, Republicans refused to return to Washington.

I went searching for Republicans in the Capitol. Turns out they’re not in Washington to keep the government open or protect your health care.
Republicans are no where to be found to keep the government open or protect health care!

In a few hours, the Government will shut down.

I'm on the Capitol steps — ready to work, ready to negotiate, and ready to stop a shutdown.

Where are Republicans? Nowhere to be found.

Tariffs on films won’t work, but tax credits will. The proof is in states like California and Georgia. We need to make those programs national so we can lure films back to American soil, not scare them off.

Take a listen to my thoughts on KCAL:

As the representative of nearly every major producer in Hollywood and a former film producer, I know what will work, without harming consumers: a national film tax credit. It’s working in California and it will work across the country.
Legislators to Trump: Consider a Federal Film and TV Tax Credit Instead
Sen. Adam Schiff and Rep. Laura Friedman, who are both attempting to pull together bipartisan bills proposing such an incentive, were quick to respond to the president on Monday.
