I was fortunate enough to get my first cab ride ever in one of the Valley Railroad’s steam locomotives in December. So cool!

I do the odd drone up in the sky kind of thing as well.
Tonight, Sighthill Bridge Glasgow.
This is as high as I can legally fly. I was pretty windy up there according to the drones sensors. I did try a hyperlapse but there was movement due to the ferocity of the wind....

Out of the Darkness

Photo of a Docklands Light Railway train exiting the tunnel and arriving at Island Gardens Station. I love how the lights paint the track in the darkness & especially enjoy the arching light framing the tunnel.

Note: Taken safely from behind the yellow line.

reminder to all my trans friends that a man who campaigned with this much support and love for us just destroyed the most machine politician to ever exist in spite of all odds. turns out vocally caring about us is a winning strategy!!
UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

I don’t normally photograph people, but I’m trying to get better at that. My friend and partner and road trip buddy, @waywardbun.bsky.social, has been a good subject for me to practice with. It helps that I think they’re adorable, and that they also love to drive for hours to photograph industries.

From Canning Town station you can see the Docklands Light Railway traveling over the London Underground. Here's a shot taken during blue hour.

I was asked for a statement for this @nytimes.com story about X gender markers on passports. My statement is: the story of how anti-trans sentiment became so powerful in the United States over the last year is a story for which the New York Times needs to take responsibility.

This is a small photo set from the Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine in Ashland Pennsylvania. I probably should have pulled out my DSLR for this, but my phone performed surprisingly well even with the low light motion blur shots. (Thankfully that red hat is not *The* Red Hat, but it’s still a bad look.)

Most of the power authoritarians have is freely given. We should not comply with them in advance.

Trump is far weaker than he looks. So is the GOP. We should draw them out, drain them at every opportunity, and fight for people’s wellbeing at every turn.

We have been sent here to fight for people.
AOC: I think there's two things that are happening at once: One, there absolutely is an unprecedented abuse of power, destruction of norms, erosion of our government and our democracy in order to prop up an authoritarian style of governance

However, they are weaker than they look…
