Hate has no home here.

A life long reader, a sometimes baker and a community gardener.

Views are my own.

Updated pinned post.

Gardening still keeps me grounded. This is my third year with a community garden plot as well as the third summer our family has navigated Long Covid. I continue to read as much research to advocate and help as many families as I can.

I said “let’s clean the air, wear masks and other prevention stuff to protect people from bugs”…

Society said. “We prefer dead kids.”

Mainly because dark money convinced people that going back to “normal” was important, no matter how bad it was.

Claiming that’s pacing doesn’t make is so!

This is doing a disservice to abandoned strip malls. At least they generally have small enough storefronts that they can be reused. When a giant Shopping Mall goes, there's not really a way to save it because the space are so massive.

That's what I'm afraid will happen to the US.

So chicken farms have started spending millions of dollars putting in state of the art air filtration and circulation systems - because culling whole flocks to mitigate avian flu is expensive - but we have done zero to improve air quality in schools - because kids are expendable I guess.

The deep injury being done to children during the ongoing pandemic of Covid-19 is an abomination. Most children are being constantly exposed to Covid-19, resulting in repeated infections that cause irreparable damage. Most adults are clearly failing to shield children from harm.

Cognitive dissonance post.

Do you know what it would help more than washing hands? High-quality masking. I spent 20 minutes in a waiting room at MGH/Spaulding yesterday. Only a handful of people wear masked, mostly in surgical. So many people were coughing and hacking.

It wasn’t a matter of “will kids get complications”. It was a matter of what complications, how many and for how long…

and it looks like we actually infected them all to get the answer!!! 😡
