It was hard to convince Americans torture is wrong as a moral principle during Bush's term, and that was with the debate about whether torture makes us safer. I'm afraid for a portion of Trump's base, that calculation matters less. Idea of torturing undocumented immigrants may even bring pleasure.

I have this to say.
If you are posting about Bill Clinton, you are doing it wrong. Whatever his faults, flaws or perhaps crimes, he is irrelevant.
I don't give a shit about him. He holds no power over our lives.
Trump is destroying our country right now. Stay focused or unfollow.

Elon Musk’s net worth has now surpassed $600 billion, just weeks after Tesla approved his 10-year, $1 trillion pay package.

That could amount to $100 billion per year — more than 1.4 million elementary school teachers’ paychecks combined.

Still wondering if inequality is out of control?

Seems to me that this describes an utter administrative failure and complete lack of respect for the will of voting Oregonians.

When will our elected leaders stop squabbling over the issue and listen to experts on building the necessary infrastructure?

People can't recover from addiction if they don't have a home. People can't get a job if they don't have a home. And a focus on getting people to work is misplaced when we know that seniors are one of the fastest growing groups in our homeless population.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's resigning in time to get a pension is a lesson to everyone.

Most Americans don't get *any* pension anymore, but Congress gave itself a pension after only five years of work.

Our "representatives" aren't working for us, they are [barely] working for themselves.
