We need to stop burning fossil fuels...yesterday. #ClimateEmergency #FBPE

Climate is my thing, followed by a deep dislike of dishonesty / bigotry / lies and dark money in politics (often climate related).

Reform is just the latest incarnation of a century-old movement of British white supremacy. They've been called the British Union of Fascists, the National Front, the White Defence League and many other names in the past. But their hate-filled message of racism and bigotry is always the same.

Lord Lebedev. Remember him?

Johnson's Russian (origin) pal whose father was once a senior officer in the FSB and a bilionaire oligarch..?

How many times do you think Lebedev Jnr has actually attended the House of Lords?

Go on guess? 3? 4?...I 'm not sure

Was it some sort of sick joke?

Putin:

We do not consider ourselves responsible for the deaths of people because we didn't start this war.

A war criminal that waged the largest war in Europe in 80 years keeps cynically lying about deaths of so many people.

There was one big snag in Starmer’s announcement to launch an investigation into foreign interference

While aiming to consider “recent cases”, it will not “consider previous allegations over interference in the Brexit referendum”

Why Is the Government Really Refusing to Investigate Russian Interference in Brexit?
Keir Starmer's decision to exclude Russian interference in the 2016 EU referendum from his inquiry into foreign interference in our elections should ring alarm bells, argues Sergei Cristo

We think the world is getting more dangerous.

But what if it’s the news – not reality – driving that fear? TV news doesn’t just report danger; it curates it.

Peter Thurlow explains 👇
Why watching TV news leaves us feeling powerless
Modern news doesn’t just inform us — it overwhelms us, shaping our sense of danger and leaving many of us feeling more helpless than aware

The increasing convergence of mainstream media organisations, clickbait and the far-right has been one of the worst parts of 2025.

They know full well it wasn't just some "anti immigration tweets". He called for people to join him on the streets, burn down migrant hotels and "start the slaughter".

The EU summit has approved a special exemption for Hungary, Slovakia, and Czechia regarding the €90 billion UA loan. According to the conclusions, these countries will not bear financial obligations tied to the loan, which will be backed by the EU budget and repaid only when Russia pays reparations.

Why do so many feel like they've fallen behind?

It's not because of immigrants, trans people, DEI, the “deep state,” or any other bogeyman trotted out by the GOP.

It's because big corporations and billionaires have rigged markets and siphoned off most of the economy's gains.

The EU was the global driver of emissions controls. Global trade was coming with conditions about emissions pledges.

Putin is heavily dependent on fossil fuel exports.

Russia sees trillions $ of 'stranded assets' where science sees destruction and misery.
