Lots of ppl finding me from a WordPress starter pack so let me just clarify:

I do have a WordPress-related job.

But mostly this account is politics, shitposting, and substituting lifting for a personality.
My actual thoughts as the end credits of WAKE UP DEAD MAN rolled:

“Did…did Rian Johnson just make me Catholic? Shit fuck… No wait. They still don’t ordain women. Nope.”

shoutout to the crowd that insisted it was a political loser to stand up for abrego garcia’s rights
Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an ordinary man, has defeated the great might of the US Government
Kilmar Abrego Garcia is free. every bit of cruelty, boasting, slander, and persecution was for absolutely fucking nothing.

I feel like a lot of people get pragmatism/realism mixed up with dooming, honestly. It's not pragmatic or realistic to jump straight to the worst case scenario, and it does more harm than good too

Aside from the many levels on which this is offensive and terrifying...

All the decades we have of data on formula vs. breastmilk indicates that breastmilk is maybe 1-2% better on any measure of outcomes, and that effect only lasts until the child is weaned.
RFK Jr: "All of the ingenuity of corporate America has not produced an infant formula that is superior in nutrition and all the qualities that we want to the infant formula that God made, which is the infant formula in a mother's breast."

On the other hand, my feet ARE that small and I bet I could get into these.
DEEPLY disappointed that these K-Pop Demon Hunter Vans slip-ons with Derpy Tiger on one shoe and Sussy Bird on the other are only in kid sizes, topping out at side 7. I have smallish feet, but not THAT small.

Over dinner last night, the Claymation Christmas Special came up in a discussion of beloved Christmas TV traditions, which meant I had to bust out my California Raisins knowledge.
So we’re at breakfast on vacation, and we found ourselves explaining the California Raisins to the kiddo.

Which meant we pulled up Wikipedia to confirm the breadth of the cultural reach of the raisins.

Did you know the campaign caused the *collapse* of the California Raisin Advisory Board?

“the worst people in DC” and “the people who are meanest about DC” is a circular Venn diagram
Also people who say "well everyone in DC is like this" only hangs out with a very small circle of the people who live in DC (and they probably mostly live in Northern Virginia tbh).

I need to get my hands on this ASAP.
Hey folks, my first book is out in April! It's a narrative non-fiction account of five years of life in Berkeley Springs, WV after the "great replacement" fixated group VDARE bought a 19th century castle there.

I made my friends laugh SO HARD yesterday with a joke about the Kennedy Center. It was niche but I timed it *just right*.

And that is why I will always be better than Elon.
Remember folks: if you have any small amount of artistic talent, any sex appeal, or can make your friends laugh, the richest man on earth is crying screaming throwing up because he can’t be you.

this genuinely, for real, does make me feel better sometimes

every time you really land a joke, just remind yourself, "wow, all that money and Elon Musk still can't do that"

Some of us keep the old ways alive in our hearts SMDH
christmas has gotten so far from its religious roots, wish we could celebrate our holidays like medieval christians (cross-dressing, being told by the bishop to stop cross-dressing, resolutely refusing to stop cross-dressing, threatening the bishop in defense of cross-dressing)

My rule of thumb, as someone with friends of a variety of dietary restrictions, is that nobody has to be able to eat every single thing on the table, but there should be enough different things that everyone’s plate has a feast on it. So yes, adjust your stuffing and look for other easy changes.
LISTEN UP BUCKAROOS. honestly as vegetarian it is my number one rare and appreciated holiday situation to show up and discover that the stuffing was specifically made in a way that vegetarian and vegan buckaroos can eat it too, and this is so easy to do
Thoroughly endorse Chuck's recommendation to make your stuffing meatless if you're having any vegans or vegetarians at your holiday meals. You shouldn't be cooking it inside the bird anyway, and it tastes just as good made with veggie stock.

#DCStatehood is morally just, constitutionally sound, the democratic thing to, and…
Statehood for D.C. is an ethical obligation at this point, required to protect the rights of our residents to govern ourselves against such out-of-state troops being sent to patrol our city.
NEW: Republican-led states, in a new filing at the D.C. Circuit, say D.C. residents are irrelevant, D.C. belongs to everyone else. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

The filing is led by the South Carolina and West Virginia attorneys general. Both states sent troops to DC.

Federal agents can no longer arrest people in D.C. on immigration violations without a warrant or probable cause to believe they could potentially flee if not detained, a judge has ruled.

It's the second significant legal loss for the Trump administration over its activities in D.C. in two weeks.
Federal judge limits warrantless immigration arrests in D.C.
Lawyers say federal agents unlawfully operated under an ‘arrest first, ask questions later’ policy.
