The stadium for the Kansas City Current -- whose construction 40 banks refused to finance because there had never been a professional stadium built for a women's team -- just finished its second consecutive season of sold-out games.

No One Wanted to Finance Their Stadium. Now Every Game Is a Sellout.
Building a professional women’s soccer venue was seen as brash. Now the Kansas City Current’s is a blueprint for others.

Imagine NZ’s cabinet ministers commanding the flight deck of a giant airliner.

At their fingertips, an extraordinary array of flight instruments with high tech signal pathways and data switching capabilities. All aimed at enhancing situational awareness to support decision making.

It’s also full of short demos- even without the device, this is interesting stuff

Dr Wiles got years of rape and death threats (as did other Akl Uni female staff). The UoA did nothing. She sued & won. UoA spent “well over $1m” of taxpayer money defending themselves. Phipps, UoA head of HR, gets a $450k salary.
Exciting day today. Not only is it Halloween, but my crowdfunding campaign is also live! Please support me by making a pledge and/or sharing on all your socials and with your friends, family, and colleagues. Thanks to everyone offering rewards. You rock! www.pledgeme.co.nz/projects/852...

One of the reasons I’m excited to teach high school Social Sciences and History in Aotearoa New Zealand is the curriculum that integrates the value and lessons to be drawn from ALL of the country’s past. But this government ruins everything it touches and I’m too furious for words.

I'm reading the new Social Sciences curriculum content and I wasn't prepared for how sad I would feel. We spent thousands of hours working with the previous iteration and the NZ history content and all that enthusiasm and excitement was just killed for something so bad.

Today, I drove an hour and a half with my wife and a couple friends to pick up a neighbor who was summarily, inexplicably arrested by ICE at a check-in ten days ago and then just as inexplicably released, 100 miles from home today. It was a happy occasion, all things considered, but...
