Anne Frank & Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. were born in 1929. Viola Fletcher, who just died this week, was already 15 when they were born.

But while we were just with Ms. Fletcher days ago, Anne Frank & Dr King are portrayed as ancient history.

Remember, "The past is never dead. It's not even past.”

Digging into the data of what's taking place with Black women unemployment and this graph is pretty damning.

You can see the EXACT month Black women's unemployment begins to splinter and that what hit us FIRST is now coming for all other women. This is #TheDoubleTax.

Rudy Bridges is younger than the Sitting President of the United States and 29 sitting United States Senators
It’s useful for people of my generation to be reminded that this wasn’t that long ago. Ruby Bridges isn’t just still alive—she’s only 71, not ancient!
65 years ago on Nov. 14, little Ruby Bridges was escorted into an all-white elementary school in New Orleans. Norman Rockwell, renowned for blissful depictions of Americana, did this remarkable painting for Look magazine. Printed as a double page, over-size spread, it's his masterpiece.

Trump has just removed a memorial to Black soldiers from a US military cemetery. But no matter what he does to try to erase them, Black soldiers have fought for this country — from the First Rhode Island Regiment in 1778 to the Tuskegee Airmen of World War II to the service members of today.

I've seen so many people online using the government shutdown as an opportunity to demonize people who receive SNAP benefits, WIC and any kind of government assistance.

Here's the thing:

I agree with those people.

We need to end the WHITE welfare state

BECAUSE welfare works.

Why should you 🫵🏿 care about SNAP? SNAP recipients saw:

- Improved life expectancy
- Lower chance of incarceration
- Lowers chance of poverty
- Lived in better neighborhoods
- Higher human capital

SNAP keeps our neighbors fed, communities safer, and kids educated. Also people are HUNGRY. DUH!

Reminder that the federal government was once the largest employer of Black women in the country.

DOGE fired so many Black women that it massively spiked their unemployment rate.

The government shutdown was already here, just not equally distributed.
