“Do we not need the tea-room more than ever?”
It an HDMI switch in April for $25. I thought I’d grab a second one for the basement TV, but it is now $40. I don’t remember it being on sale when I got it. Maybe it was, but I’m not so sure …

Comic artist LeBeau Underwood’s daughter has been missing in Chicago since yesterday morning. Please share in the hopes we can bring the family a happy conclusion to this.

All of a sudden, Nintendo’s like, “Sales are down?! What do we do? Lower prices? Are you sure?”

Still, maybe they stop messing with that $41.99 price point and start a Player’s Choice line at $30.

My consulting fees are reasonable, more so than Nintendo’s sale prices.

Dennis Leary was in Suikoden II. Not really, but also, yes really.

Gen AI cannot replace a human being. At best, it’s a TOOL for a capable and knowledgeable professional to use to aid their work. And in most cases these days, it seems that knowledgeable and capable professionals will tell you that it only makes their job harder as they have to clean up its messes.

Let's talk about generative AI, contaminated information, and rhubarb.

Once upon a time, Europe was at war.

Food was scarce, and the government of the quote-unquote United Kingdom looked for alternatives. 1/

Pizza is defined by mozzarella. There’s no compromise on that. No alternatives. No blends.

Every American, across the entirety of a very broad political spectrum, knows full well that this is some serious bullshit. The only difference you’ll find as you move along the spectrum is whether or not people PRETEND this is even remotely acceptable, & you have to go very far right to find that.

Anime is not a genre. Neither is manga. Why is this a thing?

I played through 54 games in 2025. That number was bolstered by my return to the shooter (STG) genre, but still, I played through plenty of games. Most were actually on Mister. Too many to fit in a single post.

I woke up this morning to a bit of snow that needed shoveling and found footprints from some visitors. I see all sorts of animals, but the snow reveals even more running around in space I’d never expect.

I know it’s dismissive of me, but I really don’t think any movie in the Jurassic Park series is likely to really add in a meaningful way to what the first movie had. And I didn’t even like that first movie.

At this point, I’m inclined to say that Metroid Prime 1 was a glorious fluke that came at the right time w/an idiosyncratic control scheme that somehow just couldn’t be improved upon even though it seemed at the time that it could ONLY be improved upon.

Mail call!

It took about a month door to door. I was getting a little worried. Gonna have a good time. :)

I’m reading a new book now, but I probably won’t finish this year. Babel was probably the strongest book of the year for me. Props to @katch.bsky.social for the recommendation on that one. It’s a little weird how they show so many covers from one series rather than spread it out.

I completed 53 games this year. 25 were on Mister FPGA. I’ve never been happier with a device in my life.

That’s Policenauts done. Definitely worth experiencing. Strong story. Good translation. Lethal Weapon in Space! Of course, it’s a Kojima story, so it’s got lots of odd pervy detours, but yeah, it’s a Kojima game, so it’s also a really good yarn peppered with surprisingly Nostradamic predictions.
