I get that he took ‘You can’t afford to be Vice president ‘ as a personal slight….but it is also really fucked up statement about the Vice presidency as avocation for wealthy socialites.

Rosevelt’s Black Pearl in New Orleans I think burned down in 2018. Best fried chicken I ever ate. Fry batter used on chicken tasted nothing like batter used on fish. Counter set up, no menu, no prices, no sign in front (just flag instead).

It's kind of incredible how many of these now are pretty clear cut crimes, and not even *that* trivial of crimes, and juries still just totally don't give a shit. Like shining a laser pointer at a pilot is kind of a big deal, and an entire jury is like 'we wish it had crashed.'
