I used to do things at Airport Lawyer and WidenLaw. Now less internety projects. Forever hollering about Detroit sports. Arsenal. Michigan. Reformed political hollerer.
Sorry. All dead here.

The one upside to this is I don’t think they’re keeping Wink after they’re done giving up 40+ today

These second down runs make me want to puke

Nothing about this changes my feelings about the program. Sherrone has made a lot of progress in year 2 and we are going to see what happens next year. He’s got a lot of catching up to do. Hopefully with a new DC.

Bryce checking down there is a pretty good explanation for why you’re stuck with a conservative gameplan. True Freshman QB is a lot to ask in this game.

Any chance we had went out the window when Marshall went down.

And everyone does
Wink Martindale cracks me up, big-ass flatbill hat, oakleys, the goatee, weird-ass blitzes, holds up his playcard like he's reading off the secrets of the pharaohs

I'd hate him so much I'd vibrate with rage if he were on my team's staff

I have serious nerves, but I’m firmly in the “we are very unlikely to win”. This leads me to believe something truly painful but not bad will happen. Like Michigan is going to be up 27-10 and then lose.

I’m scared.
Vacillating wildly between “hell yeah Michigan will find a way to win” and “we’re all gonna die” so yeah, basically the normal night before The Game

I’m about done with the Pistons 10 man rotation. I know JB doesn’t want anyone to hit the bench, but I just don’t think this works

I keep saying if you want a better opposition party, the time to make sure that happens is now. You can get involved, no one is stopping you!
I find the 'the Democrats won't do anything' doomer line annoying, because the Democrats will be who you make them - look how much the GOP changed over the past decade!

Right now the party feels immovable but the moment it has a presidential nominee, it will be whatever that person is.

There is nothing sillier than the idea that context doesn’t matter in fourth down decision making.
feels like it’s time to have a discussion with both sides who live to scream about what analytics say to do on fourth down

games aren’t played on calculators and math isn’t irrelevant — neither of you is ever always right, which is why this shit is hard

Two illegal formation penalties isn’t great

Boy, that sure didn’t look like a catch

Media people across the political spectrum should be presumed to have brain worms if they’re on Twitter extensively. Even people you like.
It’s really funny how a generation will roll its eyes at parents who watch Fox News but doesn’t see why being immersed in Twitter is having the same effect. Lots of serious people show up on Fox News too but that shouldn’t be your primary source on the news.

Thanks! I wanted something depressing to stew over!

One of my very favorite things about living in Washington is that I feel very plugged in to apple News.
This Southern propaganda sucks, but it reminds me of good Apple News I neglected to share. WSU Extension was at our conference last week and brought the new Sunflare variety. It’s not available commercially for a couple of years, but it’s magnificent. Yes, it pairs well with Cougar Gold.
Apple pie is bad. This is not really debatable. So is key lime pie, while we’re on the topic. Pecan pie is the 🐐 tho.

I would absolutely sign up to work in one of these
You know how there are some historical reenactment museum areas where you can go and see people dressed old timey churning butter and making horseshoes? There should be one that's a bar and kids can go listen to reenactors complain about their city's sports teams from different decades

I get that, but I have to disagree because this is clearly the Roadhouse prequel.
Uh…. Was this his Dirty Dancing interview reel? I’m calling it an official prequel

42 is embarrassing numbers. Philadelphia would have destroyed everyone and started hounding the CEO by now. Get to work Windy City
Yesterday my partner and I counted all the ads along Chicago's Brown Line for "Friend," a company selling an AI chatbot pendant, and tallied how many of those ads were defaced.

Still working on a longer piece on this, but here's the quick and dirty: we counted 104 "Friend" ads total, 42 defaced.

All the points in here are good and accurate as to what the ending of the show DID portray, but it’s always important to remember that’s absolutely not what the show runners intended to portray and that, even if they intended some of it, they absolutely failed to tell a story that would lead to it
i feel like if you understand what the ending of the show was trying to say there's no point in having any content set after it.
