Stop anthropomorphizing the word prediction algorithm. It is synthesizing things humans previously said to predict what a human would say in a given situation. It is not thinking. Any meaning behind its words is imposed from without by human users, not generated from within like human thought.

Claudette Colvin is an icon of American history.

It was an honor to be her neighbor and attend her memorial last week at Abyssinian Baptist Church alongside her family.

As we continue to uplift her story, let us honor Ms. Colvin by living the way she did: with courage.

@npr categorizing an elite athlete as "extreme" because they are trying not to get Covid ahead of the pinnacle of their athletic career is ... a choice. Ditto "some athletes still self-quarantining." Oh you mean like the ones who could not compete in 2022 because they had Covid? Those ones?

For most people, the pandemic days of masking are behind us. In certain corners of the Winter Olympics, though, things still look a lot like they did in Covid times. Some athletes are taking extreme measures to stay healthy. n.pr/4akK70l

Since the early days of the space program, astronauts have quarantined before missions because any illness could be disastrous. It’s eminently logical — not “extreme” — for athletes who’ve trained their WHOLE LIVES for one event to take similar precautions in order to stay in peak physical condition

Reporter: Do any of you have a favorite animal?

Child: My favorite one is a gold snake that can move. It has gold eyes, and it has a super-duper tail…

Reporter: Mr. Mamdani, the second question for you.

Mamdani: Yes. It’s also the golden snake.
