There it is. Our national broadcaster living in fear of the most openly corrupt US president in American history. This is where the British patriots on the right have got us.
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

This has happened against my wishes, and I’m genuinely dismayed by it.

Not because people can’t disagree with my words, but because self-censorship driven by fear (Trump threatening to sue the BBC) should concern all of us. /3

Having a strategic day with @talkingheadsoak.bsky.social looking at how to move our 50 associates forward in providing #Supervision in education settings. And a celebratory meal this evening acknowledging how far we have already come.

Also left me with sad thought as to how little a Reform MP's soul was worth.

This is a shocking article; it really upset me. I didn’t realise that such groups existed. Perhaps death rates in childbirth of both mothers and babies pre-20th century should be more highly publicised. And even ancient societies had skilled midwives who had learned thru an apprenticeship process.

While it feels like I'm repeatedly slamming my head against a brick wall repeating this massively simple concept. Saying "Reform would be worse" doesn't make what Labour is doing better. Labour is now the most anti-immigration, anti-any marginalised group, government we have seen in decades. 1/
Very long thread: As with many of Labour's anti-immigration policies, this isn't new. British police have been stationed in other countries for this purpose for a long time
It does however show how Labour is pushing more on anti-immigration than previous governments. 1/

Insightful thread.
Alarming how little understanding of how schools operate this dfe advice shows.
Spat tea at "the SENCO on site and contactable" as if busiest people in school calmly sitting in their offices browsing clothes on the internet just waiting to come and resolve the odd little issue.
This has been my worry all along with the breakfast club nonsense. You can talk about funding all you like, the long and the short of it is that school leaders end up with another job on the list, another extension to their working day, and the job becomes ever harder...
And this is from DfE advice!
