This was how I felt watching #IWTV. I fell back in love with the books. The show makes me feel young like the teenager I was when I read them. I finished the last 3 of the chronicles. #InterviewWithTheVampire show is a gift to a fan like me. I appreciate the work and love they put in so much.

I fell into these books deeply in high school and college. I was truly enraptured by the myriad vampires and their lives. I felt this again when watching this show. It felt like i was reading those books and falling in love with each character all over again.

Anne Rice's characters from The Vampire Chronicles as featured in the second novel in the series, "The Vampire Lestat". Nicolas de Lenfent (Nicki) and Lestat de Lioncourt in a colorful early evening in Paris. Nicolas plays the violin while Lestat holds out a hat for the passer-by for money. They stand on an empty corner with ivy crawling up the side of a building and the lamp shining down on the street. The violin case is open. Nicki somewhat blends into the building due to the soft shadow, all but his face, which is illuminated by the lamplight coming from around the corner. On the other side of him stands Lestat in a theatrical pose, the lamp from overhead illuminating him brightly like a spotlight on a stage. His expression is boyish and pleased.

A moot added details to my fic. The missing Raphael "Portrait of a Young Man" has a blank frame like this waiting for him to return to Princes Czartoryski Museum in Cracow. Louis, you capitalist vampire can't have the painting!

Funny thing when that episode came out, I asked the lovely Roxanne Duran on twt, what is the meaning of apple scene? She said it was Rolin's idea! Excerpt from Slate Talamasca article from October 27, 2025: "The appeal of *Interview with the Vampire*, while limited, is potent to the susceptible. People who want to see pretty men in fabulous clothes swanning around Prais and New Orleans and making long melodramatic professions of love to each other--well, those people, most women, *really, really* want to see that. *Interview* is basicall fanfiction without a canon. Typically, a TV series collects a fandom by depicting a platonic relationship between two male characters that the fans like to imagine becoming romantic. With *Interview*, the series, following Rice's lead, skips the preliminaries and cuts straight to the romance, although focus on the erotic elements in fanfiction tends to overshadow what I believe to be its true appeal: a fantasy in which men talk in great and ardent detail about their feelings. Excerpt from Slate Talamasca article from October 27, 2025: "Season 1 of *Interview with the Vampire*--in which the main character, Louis, gets initiated into vamprism by Rice's most famous creation, the rakish Lestat--had a reasonable amount of storytelling in it, but by Season 2, the series idled. Much time was squandered on that least interesting of subjects: the intrigues within a regional theater company. Otherwise, the characters mostly just stared at each other with burning desire and argued about who loved who and how much.
