I struggle to convey this to younger folk, your clothes, hair, most inside spaces, all fucking stank of cigarettes, and the walls everywhere were stained yellow
it’s unfathomable in retrospect. if you went to the pub, next day your eyes hurt and you *stank*
this is a good reminder of how things that are shitty but have been accepted as normal and inevitable can actually turn out to be abnormal and evitable with some science, time, education and political will
