I keep seeing these memes going around social media saying that ICE/CBP have no right to engage in general law enforcement & that no one has to listen to them. This is missing SO much nuance. They *can* arrest you for federal crimes & they are interpreting federal obstruction laws BROADLY.

I just heard that they plan to close the #SF immigration court and shift everything over to Concord, where it's much harder to to engage in rapid response / get to the courthouse. Obviously intentional.
