This is also a cycle of narcissistic abuse. I made an abusive choice, I face potential consequences, I convince my abusee that I have changed, I say I’ll never do it again, I do it again.

Trump accomplished nothing with his trade war threat. He was talked down like a petulant toddler by the cooler heads of Claudia Sheinbaum and Justin Trudeau. They prioritized averting economic catastrophe above political noise and allowed Trump to think it was his idea. That's what happened.

This is what happens when we excuse or ignore attacks on trans people and abortion rights. We normalize the right wing’s agenda.

It’s just a matter of time until your rights are stripped away, too.

SHARE WIDELY.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.

You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.

You don’t bury an ethics report that would exonerate Trump’s pick.

You don’t skip FBI background checks unless his nominees have something to hide.

See what they’re doing? Please tell me you see what they’re doing.

I like this solution to Tolerance Paradox as a social contact instead of moral principle (it's still one of course but operative as social contract) to help stop the push to the right 'just want to discuss' baloney.

Ultimately, the echo chamber commentary is meant to inoculate the population with increasingly far right and openly fascist rhetoric while also pushing that any other speech is not as important and is based on not understanding the fascists argument. It’s an astroturf. We don’t accept fascism.
