I reviewed the movie ANNIVERSARY for Splice Today www.splicetoday.com/moving-pictu...
Typically Topical
The problem with Anniversary is that it doesn’t have much to say about today’s political moment. || Stephen Silver

This is exactly what Theranos did, is it not?
Founders on LinkedIn still seem to be struggling with the difference between telling people about their humble beginnings and admitting to straight up committing fraud.

Updated US Lexicon:

Violently attacking Congress to stop election certification then getting convicted of seditious conspiracy by a jury with full due process = not sedition

Saying US troops made an oath to the Constitution and should ask a lawyer if they think an order may be illegal = sedition

The entire branding of the 'Oathkeepers' was the notion that soldiers and cops would refuse orders by Obama to seize guns or force people to buy healthcare or do Jade Helm or whatever.

They were the first people Trump pardoned this year for storming the Capitol in hopes of hanging Democratic reps.

There were always way more "cancellation attempts" than actual cancellations. Especially the way "cancellation attempt" has traditionally been defined, which is "someone said something bad about me once" bsky.app/profile/nich...
There’s the canceled people database, plus the National Association of Scholars lists about 200 cancellations over the last 20 years, and FIRE’s list of “disinvitation attempts” (note attempts, not successes) is about 500 this century.

I went through the numbers a few years ago here (incl links).

I reviewed WICKED FOR GOOD, which is half a movie and not the good half stephensilver.substack.com/p/wicked-for...
‘Wicked For Good’ is a sluggish conclusion to the musical saga
Splitting Wicked into two movies was a financially successful decision, just not the right creative one.
