I like the idea of Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner existing in the same vein as Radiohead’s “Creep” or Blur’s “Song 2”: parodies of empty-headed cash grabs that became genuine ones due to their popularity. youtube.com/shorts/UshnZ...

I miss the skeumorphic design of the mid-2000's web, and I like seeing some of it come back. But the charm was how eclectic it was. This adds the texture and sheen of a real-world console, but in such a dull, homogeneous way.

The actual secret to why I know stuff is that I ask a question any time I don’t understand literally anything. I don’t care how simple it is. Anybody who makes fun of you for asking a simple question likely doesn’t know the answer either

If you can, give food banks cash instead of canned goods. They usually have relationships with wholesalers that can make your money go a long way. And it gives them the flexibility to meet the unique needs of each community.
spoke with the executive director of my local food bank today and got this really incredible line: "if you donate 1 can of green beans, we can give away 1 can of green beans. but if you donate a dollar, we can give away 6 cans of green beans"

Cool, so both my senators decided to cave with no concessions to protect their constituents from ballooning healthcare costs. Cool, cool, cool. Great look, Granite State. Just fantastic.

Excited to vote today! Your local gov't has a direct effect on your daily life, so make sure they know who you want for the job!
If you canceled Disney+ because of Kimmel or boycotted Target or whatever, also please vote in your local elections, where you can make direct, clear change in your community.
PLEASE vote in local elections–mayors (of small towns, even), board members, etc. They have a direct effect on your life AND are currently the last line of defense against destructive federal policies. In many places so few people vote for city council etc. that your 1 vote can change the result
