1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.

Hundreds of kids are still detained.

We’ll let the children’s words speak for themselves. 🧵

Super Bowl viewers Sunday speculated that 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos appeared in the halftime show. In fact, he has been in hiding with his family.

“He can’t sleep well at night. He wakes up three or four times a night screaming, ‘Daddy, Daddy,’” Liam's father Adrian Conejo Arias, said.

I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

One small thing you can do *right now* — donate $5, $10, $50, whatever you're able — to this rent fund for South Minneapolis daycare workers whose families are sheltering in place. Can we raise $5k today??

Whatever you can give matters. And if you can't give, can you share?

This is an amazing, comprehensive resource for comments against two proposed federal rules that not only takes the ability of parents to get gender affirming care for their kids, it takes the abilities of whole hospitals and states to offer gender affirming care.
CTA Defend Trans Kids: If you're a clinician, a parent, a trans adult, or just someone who cares, I wrote a guide on how to submit effective comments opposing the federal ban on gender-affirming care for minors.

Along w/ this, the “COVID protections” era was about whether disabled people should be allowed to participate in public life & lots of people decided no & threw their masks away, refused to learn, adapt or clean the air, & went anti-vax. The killing spread to everyone because it stopped for no one 🤷🏾‍♀️
At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

The way the American government just lies to its citizens is insane. You could be at home sleeping and 5 masked thugs break into your bedroom and kill you in your sleep, and high ranking officials will go on TV and declare you're a terrorist and they acted in self defense
