still remember this Wayne Drehs story on Rod Beck for ESPN in 2003 when he was coming back from Tommy John surgery. Drove through the minors in his motorhome, which he would park at whatever stadium he was playing, and occasionally hung out with fans after games

I get that they wanted to end with Swerve standing tall, but it just wasn't worth ending that show with that finish to get the shot they got. That's an all time show if you swap the main with any of 3 matches on the undercard, and everyone who said Toni/Mariah should have closed was 100% right.
