That’s basically every ‘no’ vote on City of Yes, plus the votes got by nixing the specific eastern Queens R varieties from the ADU requirements … plus Manhattan. I’d suggest this has the makings of a very anti-building/pro-neighborhood-character Council. (Charter revisions look set to be a *bfd*)

The Adams Admin has largely failed to deliver on the promises announced in the 2023 "Charge Safe, Ride Safe" plan to solve the lithium-ion battery fire crisis. None of the promised permanent public infrastructure and very little private infrastructure has been built for outdoor e-bike charging.

New: Con Ed cancelled funding for the NYCHA e-bike charging pilot program. Four NYCHA campuses were set to get outdoor e-bike charging cabinets and storage, but after a year of work the company pulled the plug. The program was scrapped in April with no announcement from the administration.

Seriously: You don't need to prerinse your dishes. Wirecutter ran 17 different dishwashers loaded with crusty, stubborn food stains. Even with zero prerinsing, each machine almost always did a fantastic job. nyti.ms/47Y1CDI

When I spoke to AM Novakhov at the Saada family funeral in March he did not support the Stop Super Speeders bill or speed cameras in general. Now, he has signed onto the bill, though it is watered down from its initial strength.

The FDNY issued new guidance today for e-bike charging cabinets, acknowledging that the new UL 1487 was not recognized by OSHA (which I reported yesterday). But at today's Council hearing, the Chief of Fire Protection called the points made in my reporting "erroneous."
