Not even sure what to say about the latest EO targeting trans women in sports except: fuck that. I’ve played roller derby with trans skaters for years and guess what? IT IS FINE. They’re not scary or threatening! They’re great teammates and people who just wanna skate. Don’t like it, get bent.

I haven’t seen a lot of people talk about this today, so I will say this: trans girls who want to play in the girls’ category deserve a shot at participating in school sports in a way that feels affirming and safe — same as other girls.

One day this will be a given.
