I still firmly believe Epstein did kill himself. It's what people in his position tend to do. But I'm finding it harder to attribute things like the suicide watch being lifted to incompetence.

I don't think it even needs to be anyone thing in particular. She could've just seen that the conspiracies are bullshit after she got behind the scenes. This doesn't mean her bigotry has gone anywhere just because she doesn't believe in The Plan™️ anymore.
My take on MTG is that she was privy to some confidential information about the president or the Epstein investigation itself, she has seen the writing on the wall, and she knows that once it comes out it will be devastatingly criminal. She is now positioning herself to try to escape the fallout.

The fact that a lot of leftists despise Parks and Rec - one of the best and most sympathetic depictions of non-cop government in modern media - is a symptom of the fact that a lot of the left has no idea how to actually implement the policy proposals they want to enact.
The reason 30 Rock succeeds years later while parks and rec has aged like a toilet full of milk, is that 30 Rock doesnt shy away from portraying Liz Lemon as an obvious villian with a victim/hero complex, whereas Leslie Knope was played just a straight hero character, even tho she is a neolib shill
