Thank you. So many people keep saying "women" and "sex." It's pedophilia. It's rape. It's raping children. Call it what it is.

Stop telling disabled people to “just find a care home”

It’s not easy or affordable

Most homes won’t take young people who are severely chronically ill and/or medically unstable

It’s also cruel

We deserve to remain in our communities

Institutionalization isn’t the answer

Again it’s fascinating that so many “centrists” and “leftists” and “unionists” feel the need to be seen telling us not to have boundaries

Not just because I find it condescending and annoying but because the republicans who believe this ?

Do not do this

Let me repeat

I actually believe the best in a lot of people and people in general….

and that’s why I believe Bad people cause so much damn damage

And why I find these “but we have to accept them”

No because I don’t think they are doing us favors
Call me pessimistic it is exhausting to deal with people who at this stage do t actually explicitly point out

We can’t afford to build thing based on good faith

And “believe the best in people” is nonsense because it omits the failures that can happen when folks are GOOD and these folks aren’t

Survivors of domestic violence who went to prison for crimes related to their abuse have for years asked California lawmakers to make courts take that abuse into consideration. For the third year, California killed such a reform.

Also I’d like people to start reading stuff like this like it’s the threat it is meant to be

“ I need you to explain to me why you want to withdraw from someone who is openly attacking your craft and identities. Don’t you know other people are looking”

She feels entitled to other folks power
This is not hard. Artists are not responsible for ensuring the Kennedy Center remains relevant and successful. The center’s board is responsible for that, in a fiduciary way. All of this energy being directed at artists should be re-directed at the board.

My beautiful friend, a nurse, died at 31 last night. Her cancer treatment was delayed because a visitor did not wear a mask and she became terribly ill for weeks with the flu or COVID and following infections. If you're wearing a mask, thank you.
Wrote about how disappointing it is that Jon Stewart punched down on people masking at @motherjones.com, when people should mind their own business and leave mask wearers be. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

Hair forensics, for instance, is totally nonsense.

I am very tired of claims that maskers or covid cautious people are all just antisocial weirdos who wanted an excuse to hide forever. Many of us had active, full social lives that we would still have - if you would agree to help make the environment safe. You won’t, so we’re trapped.

Viruses do not appear spontaneously in the air. They are breathed out by an infected person. It is not abstract, it is concrete. Every high risk person who gets severely ill or dies does so because someone sick did not avoid infecting them.It is not logical to put that burden entirely on the victim.
