The Realm Wars shaped almost everything about my world, straight down to the main characters. About 300 years before the story, portals opened up all around the world, releasing orcs, elves, goblins, dwarves, gnomes, and stranger things into a world where they'd been legend.

A fair whack. There are whole new scenes that show up, especially when I have to do some plot chiropractic and move things around.

Most of them are... descriptive. Lurid. Opulent. Prurient.

Most of them are... descriptive. Lurid. Opulent. Prurient.
But there was one I rushed past; I didn't have much to say with it.

They all have pretty serious PTSD so being startled isn't fun no matter the motivation.
That's not to say they don't take risks, but unforeseen risks can rattle them.
Ruby handles it best, though, but she spends a *lot* of time in varied degrees of disassociation to cope.
