It is outrageously anti-constitutional for trump to threaten to invoke the Insurrection Act in Minnesota. Once again, he is simply using a contrived emergency (here, of his own making!) as a pretext to grab power. This would be more than just illegal, it is anti-legal.

I would be okay with NOT abolishing ICE…
…so long as everybody who worked there under Trump was fired, some of them were investigated and prosecuted, the agency was given a new name, the funding was scaled way back, new hires were screened*, and strict new rules governing conduct were in place.

Or even better: look at Turkey’s stock market, under the crazy policies that delivered inflation north of 70% (still above 30%). Markets can go very high under crazy policies, because lots of money can still be made, even in economies that are being immiserated.
