Here's my short Star Wars ranking. Let's start at the back and work to the front:

100. Attack of the Clones
99. Ewoks (Cartoon)
98. Resistance - S1
97. Obi-Wan Kenobi
96. Visions - The Bandits of Golak
95. The Clone Wars (film)
94. Revenge of the Sith
93. The Clone Wars - S1
Your Star Wars rankings are weak. Let me show you how a true otaku does things.
The thing about "Somehow Palpatine's returned." is that it's absolutely a kind of a nadir for the franchise;

but it's also of exceptional use and comedic value

So you'd start easily slotting things above it, but then you'd come to something like "the concept of midichlorians" and you think, well!

Okay but what if I hosted a podcast where we rank extremely specific things in Star Wars. Is the scene where Poe and Finn meet each other in the TIE fighter better than the line "This is how it feels to be Anakin Skywalker forever."? Is a Gonk droid's "gonk" more wonderful than a ronto wrap?

Still, god bless Takehito Ito and his Towards Stars universe. Guns that shoot magic, spaceships with arms, and a planet so sexy it forces Cartoon Network to create a successful adult programming division. One of my favorite things in the world.

The thing about Angel Links is that in practice the show is terrifically mid, but in single illustrations holds the complete promise that anime has ever offered mankind.

The funniest thing about my personal experience of Star Wars is that, with full honesty, one of the reasons I like The Rise of Skywalker so much is how I think it directly pays off so many of the ideas and plot points in The Last Jedi.

I live on a little island no man may ever visit.

@piyotycho.bsky.social Hey Piyotycho-san! I was going through some old saved images and found this drawing. Do you remember who the character is that's next to Hornpot? I tried to find the image in your Twitter archive but wasn't able to locate it for more context. No worries if you can't remember!

@minovskyarticle.bsky.social I watched this music video the other day and when the guy suddenly has a hawk the thought hit me hard: "I wonder how Minovsky is doing?"

Anyway.

A great way to celebrate my *checks list* 73rd favorite Star Wars thing, just ahead of the Muppet Star Wars episode but just behind the entirety of Rebels Season 2.

The way this movie is almost a dry run at Willow is so wild!
It’s the 40th anniversary of Ewoks The Battle for Endor & we’re celebrating by inviting over some of our favorite people, @patrickcotnoir.bsky.social from The George Lucas Talk Show & the wonderful @staxrebo.bsky.social talking all about this wonderful dark chapter in the Ewok saga! Links ⬇️

Think I'm ready to start following folks on social media again. A while ago, I stopped following folks to control the amount of bad news that was coming into my perception. I think I'm in a better emotional place to deal with that, and I really want to start making friends online again. So, slowly?

I mean, I'd say it ends on an astonishingly resolved note, and that's part of the trouble-- but that's also part of the fun, too.

The lighting in Empire is insane. No movie has ever or will ever look as good as that final lightsaber fight in the depths of Cloud City.

My old Star Wars list was much more granular!

I bever really thought of myself as a contrarian, but something about expressing an opinion out loud that everyone agrees with just rubs me the wrong way. The only way we get anywhere is by dissent!
