The list would start with:

- Luke Skywalker looking at the binary sunset while John William's Force theme swells, the apotheosis of man's yearning for adventure and place in the universe

and

- "Somehow Palpatine's returned."

and then we'd go from there.

Like there's meat there, right? Never whole movies, just absolute specific objects, moments, characters. I bet Ezra's first lightsaber goes above that trading card of Mara Jade that was a photograph of an actual lady, but does it push past porgs? That's tough!!

What I like about it is that I don't think Peter Murphy is a vampire but I do think if you were an actual vampire in the late 80s and you saw this video, it became your whole personality.

My kids were watching it the other day and by god, it's just such a good hang. And Allison Brie goes HARD in that dub!

4965 here, which I believe the DSM 5 classifies as a disease.

(I'd be remiss not to call out that the space pirates in this feel very patterend off of the pirates from Swiss Family Robinson, a film that Lucas also lifted the tree-cities and traps of the Ewoks from. And that movie, of course, directed by:

Ken Annakin!)

Oh, as a child I loved Star Wars novels. Read the whole line until the New Jedi Order stuff. But now I simply can't go back, because again, it's an aesthetic experience I'm coming to Star Wars for, and the books are almost wholly divorced from that.

The painted covers on the old Bantam books though
